Hi Jamie! Your stage 1 looks great. You have clear transferable goals for your students. Also, students will be able to explain the importance of knowing what viruses and hackers are. These are indicators of understanding. In regards to your question; would it help if you have students define a vocabulary word and use a specific skill to achieve their goal. I don't know if this will help but I use this link to identify the skills and concept questions I want my students to understand.
I am certainly not an expert at this (although I did read through the UbD Guide about 20 times), but I think this looks good. Based on the fact that we are in an education technology class, it seems your transfer goals are about as good as it gets for long term learning objectives.
